Salem 'anguished by Monica's liaison with another man'

Incarcerated gangster Abu Salem has served a second legal notice on actor Monica Bedi saying that he is "anguished by her liasions with another man" in a reality show.

Salem has addressed this letter to the office of a recently launched channel since Bedi is currently on the sets of the reality show and is in a contract with the channel.

Salem had earlier sent a notice to Bedi on October 7 saying that he was deeply hurt and distressed by her statements denying their marriage.

In the second notice, Salem has said that he is stressed with Bedi's comments on the show that she would like to get married and settle down with the right guy.

"You (Bedi) are a married woman and if you want to marry some other man, you will first have to obtain divorce from Salem," the notice states.

Earlier, Salem had stated that if Bedi wanted divorce then she could communicate the same to him in writing and he would "though heart-broken, soulfully pronounce a talaq ."

Salem said that his anguish has been "multiplied manifold" since he is unable to communicate with Bedi.

Salem has been lodged at the Arthur road jail ever since his deportation from Portugal in November 2005.

The gangster is booked for his involvement in the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, murder of builder Pradeep Sharma in 1995 and murder of actor Manisha Koirala's secretary Ajit Deewani in 2002.
