Padma Lakshmi gives birth to 'miracle' girl

Finally, the ‘miracle’ baby has arrived. Padma Lakshmi, the India-born American model and Top Chef host, gave birth to a baby girl in New York on Saturday.

“Mother and baby are well and happy,” Padma’s spokeswoman said.

Back in October last year, the news of Padma’s pregnancy was described as “nothing short of a medical miracle” by doctors because Padma has endometriosis which makes it nearly impossible for a woman to conceive a baby.

We learn the baby girl has been named Krishna Thea Lakshmi.

Meanwhile, Padma, 39, still refuses to reveal the identity of the baby’s father. However, the buzz is that the baby’s father could be Adam Dell, younger brother of the computer maker Michael Dell.
